Difficulty
The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is undoubtedly a brief, easy/moderately difficult hiking path. Over 2,000 meters of elevation gain is encountered throughout the course’s opening three-day period. Over the route, there are many steep and abrupt climbs. Up to day 4, the course gradually climbs through beautiful woods.
You are going to start ascending to Nagthali, located at an elevation of 3165 meters, on day five. This ascent may be challenging for first-timers. Trekkers also need to be capable of walking with light daypacks for six to seven hours each day. Even so, use caution since this is a great place to begin your trekking adventure in Nepal.
This trek is typically considered to be somewhat tough. You should consume sufficient hot meals and maintain hydration levels to prevent altitude sickness.
Best seasons
This trip is best done in the months of March through May or September through November. similar to the remaining hikes in Nepal. Although it seldom snows during the peak tourist months, the nights are rather chilly in places over 2,500 m elevation. The only settlement rising past the 3,000 lines is Nagthali, which has chilly evenings and occasionally light snowfall throughout the tourist seasons. But we will not be staying there, so no need to worry about the cold.
Even during the busiest season, it is strongly advised to come prepared with weatherproof clothes, a raincoat for your luggage, watertight footwear, and thermal gear since, as with any hiking in Nepal, the conditions can change suddenly.
Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness poses a significant risk to trekkers and hikers. At about 3000 meters of elevation, the oxygen content begins to decrease. Traveling on the Tamang Heritage Trail Trek might be challenging for some due to altitude sickness, which is caused by a sudden increase in altitude.
If properly managed, altitude sickness is not a problem at all. It can cause a number of symptoms, such as a cold, headache, lightheadedness, fatigue, appetite loss, and mild elevation in heart rate. It’s important to recognize these signs and take the necessary pills to counter the effects of altitude sickness.
Accommodation, Food and Drink
Along the Tamang Heritage Trail Trek, the majority of lodging options are tiny, neighborhood tea shops that serve hearty, satisfying meals along with cozy, warm beds. We will stay in a communal homestay in Briddim; they will provide pleasant amenities as well, but they can be a little more basic.
Food on the Tamang Heritage Trek is largely composed of Dal-Bhat and veggie/meat sides, similar to how it is in other parts of Nepal. The momo (dumplings) in this region are typically not quite like the ones you probably had in Kathmandu. Here, the dumplings are bigger rather than the tiny, bite-sized momo in cities.
You should taste dhindo as well; it’s an essential rice substitute in many Nepalese communities; it’s prepared using mush flour made from maize that resembles dough but tastes amazing with juicy sides.
You are solely responsible for all the drinks during this trek including but not limited to water, coffee, and other beverages.
Transportation
Our Tamang Heritage Trail Itinerary requires a lot of traveling on roads, for instance, we have to take a bus ride to the starting point of the trek and a bus ride from the ending point to Kathmandu. To make things easier, our trek package will cover all the necessary road transportation expenses. This also includes drop off and pick up at the international airport in Kathmandu. This package does not cover any of your flight expenses.
Permit
You are legally required to have a Langtang National Park Permit and TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System). These permits are systemized by the government of Nepal to fund the maintenance and development of these remote areas.
Our Tamang Heritage Trail Trek will cover all these expenses as a part of the service. Our guide will help you get these permits and also help you get them validated at the checkpoints.

Gadgets charging & Internet
One of the best things about this trek is the availability of amenities. For the majority of the trek, there is WiFi and electricity available at every guest house where we will stay the night. You may charge your smartphones, cameras, and other electrical devices for a little cost. Some guest houses offer Wi-Fi, charging you by the hour, but do not expect fast connectivity on the remote villages.
The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek will not be covering these expenses as they are your personal expenses.
Your Extra expenses
Unfortunately, the Tamang Heritage Trail Trek package is not able to cover every bit of expense of this trip. You will not find any all-inclusive trek package in Nepal as there are many things that can affect the total expenses of the trip. Your extra expenses are those that are personal to you, like your visa fees, travel and medical insurance, tips for the porters and guide, any kind of drinks, additional accommodation in case something unexpected holds us at a place, emergency services, and anything that we have not mentioned to be inclusive.
