Everest Region

The Everest Region Trek is one of the most popular trekking in the Himalayas and offers beautiful mountain views, rich Sherpa culture and a true high altitude experience. Located inside Sagarmatha National Park, this region is home to Mount Everest as well as other famous peaks such as Lhotse, AmaDablam and Thamserku. Each trail of this area is a mix of natural scene and traditional mountain lifestyle and each day of trekking is meaningful and enjoyable.

Most treks start with a brief and scenic flight to Lukla and then easy walking through the villages such as Phakding and Namche Bazaar. Namche is an important acclimatization stop, and it is the main trading center of the Khumbu region. Trekkers usually stay one more night here to acclimate to the altitude and explore local bakeries, small museums, and nearby viewpoints. As the trail goes on, you will pass through pine forests, cross suspension bridges over the DudhKoshi River and visit ancient monasteries that are indicative of the strong Buddhist traditions of the region.

The Everest Base Camp Trek is the most famous route and it takes the trekkers to the base of Mount Everest at an altitude of 5364 meters. The Gokyo Lake Trek is another popular option, taking you to serene valleys and a series of high altitude lakes. For those who want a longer and more difficult trek, the Everest Three Passes Trek links remote valleys by crossing over high mountain passes. The Everest View Trek and Everest Panorama Trek are shorter treks to suit families and trekkers who have limited time. Some adventurers also go for the Gokyo and Everest Base Camp Trek for the combined experience or add Island Peak Climbing for a climbing goal.
