Upper Mustang Loman Thang with Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour is an epic overland tour in Nepal for adventure and nature lovers. It connects Annapurna and Mustang regions in the North-Western part of Nepal. The Upper Mustang region is a restricted region and Lomanthang is its capital. The tour begins from Kathmandu or if you have booked this tour from Pokhara, it begins from Pokhara and takes you through the picturesque highway. You will drive through an impressive mountain road and a bit thrilling for a couple of hours after Tatopani. On the way, an impressive 310-meter waterfall, Rupse Waterfall will welcome you. Driving through the deepest gorge of the world- the Kali Gandaki gorge, you enter the Mustang region. The arid landscape of the Mustang region is equally fascinating by the Himalayan views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The journey to the controlled region begins from Chhusang. Driving further, you will get different and exceptional experiences of driving through the semi-arid region of Mustang, where jaw-dropping cliffs, sandy caves, and centuries-old Chhortens are the continual attractions on the trip. Along with the caves, Monasteries, and chhortens, the Himalayan views accompany the trip. The enticing villages like Chaile, Samar, Syangbochen, Ghiling, Ghami, and Tsarang are exceptional.

The upper Mustang permit alone costs 50 USD per day per person.
Mandatory Guide: You must hire a licensed guide to enter.
Minimum Trekkers: The permit can apply single person.
Permit Application: Only registered trekking agencies can apply for the RAP through the Department of Immigration.
Validity: The RAP fee is based on the actual days spent in the region.
While the RAP must be processed by an agency, ACAP permits can be obtained at the Nepal Tourism Board offices in Kathmandu or Pokhara

Best time/season for Upper Mustang Jeep Tour
If you see the best time/seasons for a Nepal tour, spring (March-April-May) and Autumn (September-October-November) are great for exploring Nepal. However, unlike these months, Upper Mustang also welcomes you in mid-monsoon. This is because, the Mustang region is located beyond the Himalayas, which is known as a Himalayan rain shadow area.
