Overview of Koshi Tappu wildlife – 3 Days

The 3 Days/2 Nights package is enough to carry out all the major activities in the reserve like Bird Watching, Jeep Safari, River Raft Safari, Guided Jungle Walks and Village Visit. It is ideal for guests with time constraints but still would like to enjoy all the wildlife, nature and socio-culture the area has to offer. The main attractions include Wild Water Buffaloes, Blue Bulls, Gangetic Dolphins, Nilgai, Jungle Cats, Bears, Deers, Elephants, Fish Eating Crocodiles, Golden Jackals etc. along with over 400 species of birds as we explore the marshes, inaccessible sandbanks and islands of the mighty Koshi River on foot, boat and wheels.

Itinerary of Koshi Tappu wildlife – 3 Days

Day 01: Arrive at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Camp and begin half-day Bird-Watching or Jungle Walk

Day 02: Early morning Nature Walk and full-day River Raft Safari and Jeep Safari after breakfast

Day 03: 3: Early morning Bird-Watching or Guided Walking Tour and departure after breakfast

How to Get There

There are regular many flights from Kathmandu to Biratnagar every day. From Biratnagar, a comfortable 1 hour drive to the camp.
An exciting 8-10 days’ rafting trip on Sunkoshi River reaches directly at Koshi Rappu Wildlife Camp.
The scenic drive of 9-10 hours through Nepali countryside by road.

Best Time

The best time to visit this wonderful wildlife reserve is between October and March. In these months many migratory and local birds can be sighted. They are to be seen at the barrage and many river channels. Himalayan peaks, including Makalu I (8,463m), are a dazzling sight.
