To board the local flight to Pokhara, we will make our way to the airport early in the morning. It’s undoubtedly the easiest and most convenient way to go to Pokhara. Thus, it is covered in our 7-day Ghandruk village short trek.
After reaching Pokhara, we will travel to Nayapul from Pokhara, passing through the charming villages of Lumle, Phedi, Kande, and Naudanda on the way. Following a lovely stay in the charming village of Ghandruk, we will depart for Pothana. You will enjoy breakfast in the morning sunlight while taking in picturesque views of the Fishtail, Mardi Himal, and Annapurna range.
If you missed out on the museum trip yesterday, you can spend some time stopping by the Gurung museums, both the new and the older. The history and customs of the Gurung people are explained in these little display homes crafted from stone slabs.
We begin our walk by crossing a steel bridge, then proceed gently downhill to the Modi Khola River’s bank. The walk then ascends gradually past the other beautiful ethnic Gurung settlements of Tolka and Landruk village. While traveling, we will take a moment near to appreciate the stunning scenes of the Annapurna mountain range.
We will trek through more jungles until we reach the settlement of Deurali. Ultimately, a little climb will lead us to Pothana village. The town is modest, yet it has a good selection of establishments and teahouses. You can take in the breathtaking views of the mountains from here too.

We will have a delicious breakfast while once again watching the beautiful scenes of the mountains on the trek’s last day. The track departs from the quiet village of Pothana and takes us through a dense forest paired with stone steps before arriving at the tiny town of Dhampus. This town in the Annapurna area is another typical Gurung community.
The locals will welcome us to take a quick break while taking in the scenes of Mt. Lamjung and the Annapurna Himalayan range. Following that, we will carry on walking via the pine, oak, and rhododendron forest until we reach Phedi, where a vehicle will be waiting to return us to Pokhara.
From Phedi, we will travel for about 30 minutes to reach the beautiful Pokhara city. At the lovely Phewa Lake, you can relax and appreciate the evening while rejuvenating yourself.
