The airport of Lukla is definitely among the planet’s most thrilling airports. The airport in Lukla, a tiny community nestled on a slope, has just one runway.
This extremely small runway is designed to assist approaching planes in slowing down by sloping steeply into the hill. When an airplane takes off, this same slope turns into a descent, which helps the aircraft accelerate and get lifted more quickly.
The hiking begins at Lukla. You will need a couple of trekking equipment for this trek which we will rent our for the trek. This includes necessary trekking equipment and water purification tablets only. You can also buy your own equipment if you want to.
To help you carry your belongings all the way to the trek’s finish, you will have a porter, and a guide to lead you the right way. Our porters will carry huge bags with sleeping supplies, winter jackets, refreshments, additional clothing, and of course your electronics.
The simplest of the 13 days of the journey, our first day will have an overall decrease in altitude of twenty-five meters after around 8 kilometers of trekking. Starting the first portion of the trek you will be completely energized, and eager to embark on your adventure.
You will stay at a teahouse every night for the entirety of the trek. A teahouse is essentially a locally operated lodge. You will dine, warm up, and chat with other tourists in the eating space that exists in every teahouse.
At each location, you will share a common bathroom; an attached bathroom is not a luxury you will get on this trek.

Undoubtedly, among the most challenging days of the hike is the following day. This day is quite difficult due to the lengthy distance and significant altitude increase.
We’re going to stroll by the Dudh Koshi, a river that starts near the base camp of Everest. We will come across little settlements, cattle, and other trekkers as we go along the bank of the river.
The people who live close to the trekking path are quite kind and will constantly greet us. We will pause for lunch in the little village of Jorsalle before beginning our tiring ascent to Namche. We will be having “dal bhat,” which is a typical Nepalese meal consisting of veggie curry, pressure-cooked lentils, and white rice.
The 500-meter ascent from the river basin to the town of Namche is when the authentic thrill starts. Because of the ascent and the greater altitude, we will need to stop frequently to collect our breath.
Activity: 7-8 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Luxury Lodge/ Tea House
Meal: Breakfast/ lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 3,440m/11,286ft. (Namche Bazar )
We ascended 800 meters the previous day, and thus, we are going to need a day to acclimate before we can continue the trek any further. In fact, the town is renowned for its pastry shops, which should be commended for creating delicious pastries even at high elevations.
In addition, you may go to the Sherpa Culture Museum or go on a little climb to see the views from the Hotel Everest View. Your belly will always be full at Namche Bazaar trying all the different dishes, and your time there will never be boring, no matter what activity you indulge in for the day.
On this day, we will ascend about three hundred meters to the village of Khumjung in order to acclimate. Here, we’ll have lunch, see a local educational institution, and visit a Buddhist shrine.
Activity: Full Day Hiking and Acclimatization
Accommodation: Lodge/ Tea House
Meal: Breakfast/ lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 3,440m/11,286ft. (Namche )
Just like any other day on this trek, we will get up at seven in the morning every day, pack our bedding and equipment, get ready, and have breakfast.
We’ve got an additional tiring day of trekking waiting for us today about 8 kilometers with an elevation increase of more than 400 meters.
Our views on today’s trek will be fantastic at first. We will be able to view Tengboche sitting on a mountaintop and the Himalayas on the horizon when we are well above the river valley.
We will pass several Buddhist stupas along the walk. Just when Everest in the background isn’t attractive enough, the Buddhist monasteries constantly add interest to the climb.
Activity: 6-7 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Hotel/ Lodge
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 3,880m/12,730ft. (Tengboche )
When we reach 4000 meters on today’s hike, we will be panting severely and experiencing fatigue. This hike is going to get incredibly tiresome. We will now need to wear many layers because it will be colder, with average highs of only 17°C. Sometimes the temperature will drop to such lows that gloves and caps will be required.
We will resume our ascent to Dingboche after lunchtime. From Tengboche to Dingboche, we will have to ascend about 540 meters, and it will become rather challenging at this height.
After that, our stroll will become a grind. We shall walk slowly and with heavy feet. Sometimes it might seem like we’re moving through sand.
Activity: 5-6 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Hotel/ Lodge
Meal: Breakast/Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 4,410m/14,469ft. (Dingboche)
Now that we have reached 4410 meters (14,500 feet), altitude sickness seems most probable to strike, at least for those who are trekking to Everest Base Camp. It’s critical to climb high each day to maintain your health and make adjustments.
You will truly start to tire from hiking every single day, and you are going to ask for a day off. But it is important to climb high and sleep low so, we will gain some elevation today as well. We will go to the little town of Chhukhung trekking for three hours for our acclimatization trek today, which will involve a 300-meter elevation rise.
The places to stay will only get terrible as we get north towards Chhukung. The structures are made of the barest minimum of components: windows that have to be banged shut, doors that don’t close all the way, and thin plywood partitions. It will be rather simple to overhear anything that is being said by others in the adjacent room.
Activity: Whole day Hike
Accommodation: Hotel/ Lodge
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 4,700m/15,420ft. (Chukung Valley)
We will travel about 7.5 kilometers this afternoon, with an additional 500 meters of elevation, from Dingboche to Lobuche. From Dingboche, we’ll lumber upward before gradually ascending again to enjoy another view of the Dudh Koshi River. The Himalayas, which are mountainous and covered in snow, will provide breathtaking views.
Before we reach Lobuche, we’ll make one last ascent. We will be ascending to our highest point yet, which will be a sharp, rocky ascent.
Just under four hours after departing from Dingboche, we will finally reach the little village of Lobuche, where there are literally just enough buildings to count on two hands.
Activity: 5-6 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Hotel/ lodge
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 4,940m/16,207ft. (Labuche)
Today is the day, we shall witness Everest Base Camp today. From Lobuche to Gorakshep, the majority of the ascent will be gradual and moderate.
Even though we won’t be traveling very far today—just five kilometers—the high elevation will make things go gradually. The view will be breathtaking as usual, with towering, rugged mountains around us in all directions.
There will be an ascending and descending hike via very rough hills to finish today’s adventure. We will become psychologically exhausted from the lengthy climbing by this stage. Eventually, we will reach Gorakshep, the northernmost point of our journey to Everest Base Camp.
We finally reached the top of the final massive boulder slope and arrived at Everest Base Camp after nearly two hours of climbing from Gorakshep.
Activity: 3-4 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Lodge/ Tea House
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 5,164m/16,942ft. (Gorakshep)
The peak of Lhotse is directly in front of the summit of Mount Everest, making it impossible to see it while standing at Everest Base Camp. A tiny peak next to Gorak Shep called Kala Patthar offers some of the greatest views of Everest.
Our two to three-hour early-morning hike to Kalapatthar today will reward us with 360-degree vistas of many Mountain peaks, including Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and Taboche. We’ll then make our way down to Gorak Shep for an enjoyable breakfast before beginning the long journey back to Pheriche.
Activity: 7-8 Hours Kalapathar and back to Pheriche
Accommodation: Lodge / Tea House
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 5,545m/18,192ft. (Kalapathar )
After a few hours of hiking, we will arrive at the Imja River and take a break for a meal in Tengboche. You should seize the chance to have a second look at the stunning monastery in the village.
Although taking pictures inside is prohibited, the beauty that you witness will leave a lasting impression on your mind. When we’re prepared to resume our journey, we’ll pass through lush landscapes and gusty slopes to return to Namche Bazaar.
Activity: 8-9 Hours Trekking
Accommodation: Hotel/ Lodge
Meal: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner
Max Altitude: 3,440m/11,286ft. (Namche Bazar )
We’ll start a steep descent via many tiny settlements, notably Phakding, which is where we stayed the inaugural night on the trek, as we leave Namche Bazaar behind. These will be your final glances at the picturesque Khumbu wilderness, so don’t miss the breathtaking vistas of valleys and slopes from the several suspension bridges we will cross.
We’ll eat a heavy dinner together when we finally make it back to Lukla and consider how the Everest Panorama Trek 14 Days has been an unforgettable trekking experience.

If our standard itinerary doesn't fully meet your needs, we are happy to tailor it to your specific preferences and requirements.
Even while there’s a chance of some rainy days in the spring, after the rainy season passes, you can nearly always count on bright, clear skies and sunny days. In Nepal, autumn brings pleasant weather, great conditions for hiking and mountaineering, and breathtaking vistas made clear by the monsoon’s removal of sediment and pollutants from the sky.
Obviously, you must exercise caution; if you begin too early, monsoon issues may still arise. When the weather has completely calmed, which is generally about halfway through September, you are safe. The nicest weather and calmer routes are usually found in late September and early November. Watch out for hikes scheduled later in the season, too, as December is when temperature levels really start to drop.
Although the trekking path is not difficult, the fact that we are traveling to a high elevation makes it a difficult trek. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate it a 7 as you have to trek for 5 hours in average everyday. This is not a beginner-friendly trek, you should not be trekking this trail with no prior experience as it may turn out to be your worst experience.
Many locals and visitors to Nepal experience signs of this illness when walking up mountains. The likelihood of experiencing altitude sickness often begins at about 3500 meters. The reduced oxygen availability at high elevations is the cause of altitude sickness. The human body will occasionally adapt to its environment, lowering the chance of altitude sickness.
The reasons why certain persons may have altitude sickness are not well-defined. Anyone who is in high altitudes is susceptible to it. Nonetheless, persons with respiratory conditions, those living at lower elevations, and youngsters are more vulnerable to altitude sickness.
You will be served traditional Nepalese food and will be staying at guest houses for most of the nights. Our Everest Panorama luxury Trekking 14 Days will cover all your accommodation expenses as well as 3 meals per day. As for drinks, you are on your own.

We will make sure that you get to your destination on time and also be back in Kathmandu on time. You do not have to pay anything extra for any of these transportation. This package does not cover your flight fares.

These permits cost a couple thousand Nepalese rupees but you won’t have to pay for it separately as they are covered by our trek package. These permits are funding for the development and perseverance of these remote regions.
